One of my good friends has one. It's candy red. Insane fast. And on the track an absolute monster. But in the city it's just plain stupid. Bruce is actually a good driver. The first time I was with him at MSR I almost got sick as a passenger. That car will throw your internal organs around on that track. It's TOOOOOO tight for a car like that. It's a track for Buells. There are always ferrari's, hopped up z06's, viper, etc during those track days. The s7, which we affectionately call Dion, truly does make them all look like toys (on and off the track). She's a true diva. But only an ass-hat like Bruce would buy one primarily for the bling factor. He has other, more disposable, toys for the track. |

Cool, fast, expensive, etc. etc. I've never seen one in person, but in pictures it looks huge, for a super car. It's too damn long. I'd take an old McLaren F1 over the S7 any day. |

The Saleen S7 looks like it was designed by a 10 year old kid (with really bad taste). |

Yeah... Those s7's sure are giant, ugly, pieces of $h1t. (I can't afford one either.) |

It looks like a Hotwheel! And that's why it's cool! |

Would rather just get a new z06 and some Callaway mods. Then 100k saved could buy a new diesel truck, 2 or three more bikes, a couple ATVs, and some more guns. Also want a racing lawnmower. just for the hell of it. |

I don't have one or know anyone who does but I've seen a S7 race amongst Panoz, Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin and other race cars at the ALMS (American LeMans Series) at Laguna Seca for a couple years now. It's a pretty darn exciting thing (the race) to watch up close, when there are four classes from prototypes to high-perf street sports cars all going at it at once. The race Saleen has the endearing raucous American V8 sound that I love, like our Corvettes, Mustangs & Panoz's. Sorta like our Buells in that regard. Yeah, they build Saleens in Long Beach, Ca. (or used to, I'm not sure if they still are) but some occasionally show up at Cars and Coffee, a local gathering of exotics and rare cars that takes place on Saturday mornings at the Ford Design Center in Irvine. Cool stuff! Glad you brought it up. |
