I just closed the deal this afternoon to become Iowa's newest Mathews Bow dealer! I am sooooo pumped I just had to share the news. When I was putting together my plan for Double Lung Archery I never even contacted Mathews (they are the #1 bow manufacturer in the world) because as with all bow companies, they have protected territories. There is a Mathews dealer in Cedar Falls and I just figured they had the whole area tied up. Well, last week, I get a call and the guy on the other end says he is from Mathews Inc. Now being a new business, I get about 10 calls per day from people wanting to sell me stuff so it didn't even click in my brain right away. I asked, "who are you with"? He repeated, Mathews Inc, in Sparta WI(I just can't get away from dealing with factories in WI I guess) I was floored, here is a rep from the biggest bow company in the world, calling me, out of the blue? He had received an article, the one from the Waterloo paper about my new business and was wondering if I would consider becoming a dealer for them! Consider it, heck yeah! Anyway, they sent me a dealer application, I sent it back, they got it today, called me and I am now a Mathews dealer! WOW! I should have bows by Friday or Monday, just in time for my Grand Opening! I have been shooting Mathews bows for the last 7 years. This is great! I think I already have one sold! Now get this, the owner of Mathews, Matt, also builds guitars! Sound like someone else we know?  So, I am back to selling stuff made in Wisconsin. Now my bow line up is complete Ross Archery, the new kid on the block. Ben Pearson, the oldest kid Mathews, the biggest kid Should be great for business as the Mathews name and bows will draw people to Double Lung Archery! | ||

That's wonderful news Dave! Thanks for letting us know how you're doing. I haven't heard much about how you're doing lately and figured you were pretty busy. Glad to hear things are going so well.
