There is no way this should ends the way it does, I've watched it like 8 times and cannot figure out for the life of me why he crashes. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xod8k_motorcycle- crash |

Looks to me like he hit the throttle a bit, got the rear spinning, let off the throttle, it hooked up, and he started to freak out. He probably looked at the bridge wall, and you know what they say - you go where you look... |

Looks like slow speeds to me. He hit the rear brakes then got scared and uprighted it. Dragging his foot for brakes as he hit the wall. Only a new rider would be draggin his foot as a method to slow down! |

Barney Rubble. Yeah.. Using your foot as added stopping power is just discouraging, knowing that he's part of the human race. Nicely done, sir. Way to show your ASS! That's the first 25 mph body FLIP I've ever seen. I have bookmarked and tabbed that video. |

Looks like he saw the wall up ahead and thought "jeez, I feel sorry for the poor sucker that hits that wall"! |

I may be way off base, but it almost looks like he blew the rear tire. |

My guess is that he downshifted & the rear tire did a grabber |

Not sure what he did to make the back end get squirrely besides panicking, but what did him in was Target Fixation. |

"I've watched it like 8 times and cannot figure out for the life of me why he crashes." I don't know any of the circumstances involved, but here is my take: New Bike + New Rider + Camera = Stupid Mistake The math works: it was pre-destined. Pay attention kids. |

Something got the ass to wiggle - probably sand or gravel, and then the guy paniked. He sat up, put his foot on the ground and leaned the wrong way. Target fixation was definately an issue here. |

all highly possible, if not correct on all counts. except maybe that downshifting thing...i didn't see the left foot move at all. rule #1 -- don't panic. adapt and adjust. |

I kind of agree with Irideabuell, it dose look like he might have blown a rear tire. Regardless of what happend he's lucky that he didn't flip over the wall. |

My tip is, never have a camera involved! You only do stuff like that when someone documents it! |

There's nothing wrong with that tire. He panicked when the back got a touch loose and fixated on the wall. |

Wow! Now I'll be the first to say we all do stupid things. But yeah, target fixation. It's happened to me, not to that extreme. Just glad he didn't go over the wall. Hope all is well with the guy and is laughing at is as we all are. |

Wow, how do you guys find this stuff? Chuck, that bicycle crash is nasty. The other, look at dude's body language. Arms are locked (well prior to his crash) and his head never turns, he found a point on the wall to make his target. Odd how the back end broke loose, maybe a wet patch combined with the tense riding, plus that acceleration... Glad he didn't go over the wall! This is why the MSF is around, but then, not everyone is teachable either. Sure hope he recovers. |

You know, it isn't a Buell, you don't need sand to get squirrely on a bike like that just need too much throttle and a hook-up. |

That vid has been around for sometime now (It's not the first time it was posted here). Does anyone know what the circumstance behind the footage is? It looks like they were filming a motorcycle commercial in an Eastern European country... and that guy looks like he may have been hurt pretty badly, killed even. |
