On the Motorcycle Safety Foundation website they have a spreadsheet that lists all the different equipment requirements for each state. http://www.msf-usa.org/downloads/Equipment_Chart_2 005-MSFlogo.pdf It's a pretty good spreadsheet, although it doesn't mention exhaust. Hope that helps. |

Cowboy I rode through Mississippi on my way to Florida from Colorado, I was riding my 883 with a Thunderheader, way louder than my race kit on my Buell and no one even looked at my twice. That was of course three years ago. Great riding there though, beautiful countryside. |

Come through Arkansas and give me a call. I'd like to see another Buell in this state. Brent |

I grew up in MS. Yes, there is a helmet law but it's not strictly enforced... still better to be safe. I don't think you have to be to concerned with exhaust. If it's not too far out of your way, ride the natchez trace for a while. It's probably the most beautiful stretch of road in the state. It's worth going out of your way for. http://www.scenictrace.com/ (Message edited by Not_Purple_S2 on March 16, 2007) |

Tks guys........ and Purple that is my sole purpose is to ride the trace.... but this trip I will be leaving the Buell home . I will be riding the V- Rod. I have rideing the Buell to much and neglecting the Rod It has seting up all winter(Wife said if I did not want to ride it I should sell it. I think it is a sin to sell a motorcycle)he he |

Another reason for leaving the Buell home is I was told the speed limit on the trace is quite low and strictly inforced. |

That's true. The speed limit is low. When I was there I didn't see a cop. But I've heard enough tales about people getting busted that I decided to take it easy. |

I have seen cops there, and tickets on the Trace are VERY expensive, IIRC. |
