I hit 1000 miles on my 9S (1040 actually) and have not had it serviced yet. My question is this- I want to go to the rally in Austin tommorow, I live in Houston, so it would be about a 320 mile trip plus a few ridin around miles. Should I take my bike with out having the 1000 mile service? I tried to get it in this past week but no luck, have to wait til Teusday. I think it wouldn't be that big of a deal but was wondering if someone might know something I don't. Jason |

Change the oils and go. Do the rest when you return. No worries. |

I wouldn't worry about it either. Just changes the oils like Blake stated and you should be just fine. edited by gravedigger on May 31, 2003 |

Ditto...change the oil/tranny fluid, check your tire pressure and get some gas, then go have fun! |

I would check the Primary chain tension just to be on the safe side. |

Dunno Jason, I'd probably check the neutral indicator pin on your shifter fork drum just to be on the safe side. -JW:> |
