A couple from New London gave me this before I left Appleton. They had become friends as well as customers and had purchased a total of 5 bikes from me in 2 years, 10 months. Both being avid bowhunters, of course we got along well. Used to go shoot with them from time to time. they even have a treestand set up in their backyard to practice from. So I bought a frame for it yesterday and it's already sitting in the building. I'll have Gearhead hang it on the wall for me this weekend. Thanks Andy and Sue! |

Just ship it to me, come shoot and I'll ship it back. Ok, I'll keep that one as a trade in and ship you your new bow. |

Spidey, of course you'll probably need a new bow case to protect the new bow during shipping? |

Damn, look at the time! I gotta get in the shower and get ready for work! Don't want to be late, my new boss is a real prick! I do not have internet hooked to the building yet. I'll catch you guys later. I have a lot of work to do today. |

Thats a big space! A local indoor shooting range (handgun) here in Cincinnati scares the crap out of me. You walk to the firing line, look up, and the acoustic tiles above you are just *shredded* with bullet holes. Unbelievable. Needless to say, I don't go there if I can avoid it. Our private club range was better, the pistol / 22 range would pick up maybe 3 or 4 holes a year. Still not acceptable, but within the realm of reason. The rifle range would get even fewer, maybe 1 a year. Wonder how long those lights will last How much wood do you need to reliably stop a good target arrow? |

Dave, I hope that dollar is the first of millions! I haven't forgotten the arrows I posted earlier. I would like to get me son-in-law bow and set up. Talk to you when you are ready and not going nuts building the store. I would like to get it before his birthday in May. |

Congrats Dave!! I have a bow question. How often should you have a bow re-strung? I have a Hoyt target bow (I think it is a pro-medalist). I used to do a lot of competition shooting when I was in the Navy. Well, it has been in storage for probably going on 12 years now. I have been thinking about starting up again. I guess i should bring it in to our local bow shop and have it re-strung. |

Yeah Dave, you'll have to combine the best of both worlds and fab up some motorcycle handlebar bow carriers for us like you see on ATVs. I want mine done in such a fashion as to make the bow usable while riding. Teach those white-tails to run out in front of MY bike. |

Bcord, I will start arrow production next week. I need to know what bow you are shooting what draw length, how many lbs draw weight and what type fletchings you prefer. Ratyson, you should have your bow restrung every year or two. Yours needs a new string! Better yet, you should really consider a new bow, they have come light years in the last 15 years. You would probably do well with considering new arrows, carbon fiber ones. They are straighter, better tolerances and lighter yet stronger than ever before. Nothing wrong with shooting an antique but a new bow will shoot faster, flatter and with WAAAYY less hand shock. If you are looking for a target bow check out the Ross! New arrows? Carbon Express! TX, not sure how good your aim would be while moving. Maybe an automatic bow, capable of shooting 30 arrows per second? |

That's some good looking equipment Dave. I believe I mentioned to you on the phone once that I was into throwing darts in pubs and expect that target bow shooting would be a natural progression. Tell me, what parameters do I use to choose a bow and related equipment? I'm guessing height, maybe arm length, etc for starters, intended purpose of equipment second... Point me in the right direction and I'll make this my next latest obsession. (-: |

I would go with a 60-70 lb draw weight. We would need to figure out your draw length by measuring your arm span. Intended purpose would also be considered. For target shooting only you would want a longer axle to axle length. Then we would need to consider type of arrow rest, I would go with a "fall away" for target shooting only. Type of arrows Type of release aid Sight Stabilizer Lots to consider in choosing the correct bow. |

Hmmm...sounds like I'll have to ride the Lightning over there and get one custom fitted then. We can either fab up that handlebar mount I was wishing for or have it shipped home while I ride back. I'll do some reading on the subject in the meantime. It's about time I met you in person anyway. See ya. |
