The bright side(if there could be one) is that Hans had made peace with his life and he certainly passed with dignity(in my eyes). He was a great man and leaves a greater legacy. I am certainly better for knowing him... |

God Speed Hans. No one helped me more than you. You taught me more than anyone to relax, and enjoy. I miss you friend. |

Hans was good, kind man -- I wish I'd learn the lessons he taught much earlier -- he'll be missed, certainly, but not forgotten Good Speed |

I never had the pleasure of meeting him but felt I knew him from being here, on Badweb. Great loss, no doubt. My thoughts and wishes go out to all of his family and friends. God Speed Hans |

I known and interacted with thousands of people over the years. Hans has always been the embodiment of a true gentleman. He was kind, thoughtful and a joy to all who knew and rode with him. He certainly led a full life full of love selflessly shared. Court |

Idzerda family. Hans' love for riding and Buell was full and complete. The way he cared for the members of this community with joy and respect means to me that you have lost a much loved and admired member of your family. A person like Hans leaves a big void in your heart that can only be filled with cherished memories of Hans' life and the positive effect he had on people he touched. Just know that his impact here was positive and I hope that starts healing your pain in the days, weeks and months to come. God Speed Hans.. Asbjorn |

I've never met Hans but his goodbye post a while back touched me at the core. His sense of dignity and integrity was clearly apparent in his words. The fact that he thought enough of his fellow Buell enthusiasts to bid us farewell is something for which I will be forever grateful. It was the kind of gesture that brought out the best in us. I remember re-reading that post over and over again because it exposed something about his fellow bad web members that Hans wanted to more of us to see. Rest in peace Hans. I have a feeling that there is a special place for you. Steve |

Hans sounded like a remarkable man to know. He was never confrontational. He was always for Harmony. He brought kindness to this board. I never got to meet him but after the years of being apart of this wonderful board you begin to feel you knew him. My condolences To the Idzerda family. I'd like to say he's touched many here. |

A man at peace with himself, a man at peace with life, a good friend who touched all our lives on his own terms and in his own way. |

For some reason I clicked on his bookmark the other night: http://www.pbase.com/hans/ After reading Pete's comments I revisited his gallery and found something that had surely put a smile on his face, as it did mine. http://www.pbase.com/hans/image/22801617
My condolences to all his family, friends and loved ones. |

Hans seemed like a good guy from what I saw here on Badweb. It looked like he had made his peace and I wish his family well. |

Just got back from vacation and I see this. Wow. I only knew him through this forum. He was a man of discretion and was an even keel. Having just lost my father to cancer in late September, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Sander. Sander, I have found there is no time limit on grief and memory, and no rush to move on. I will miss my Dad always, and it's OK. |

I'm saddened. He always was so gentlemanly and kind here. I can't ever recall reading an acerbic word from him. Rest Peacefully, Hans. Al |

It was always a pleasent surprise to read his posts so long after he thought he'd be gone. It must have taken quite an effort to compose those posts given his condition. He didn't go silently into the long dark night, did he? I'll drink a toast to you tonight, Hans. Perhaps fate will conspire for our paths to cross in the future. If not, I'm glad they did in the past. |

It is so sad to hear - even though we all know that's the way we will all go eventually, it's never easy. I never met Hans personally, but felt I "knew" him from Badweb, where you could always count on him for a kind word and friendly advice and assistance. Hans was also always there with a calm word advising friendship and civility when tempers flared. Indeed a Gentle Man. My condolences to his family and his friends. May he now know only blue skies and twisty roads and get to put a lot more wear on those footpegs. Henrik |
