i bought an 2000 S3 a month ago. In that month i have added d&d slip-on, race ecm, and the race air box. Now that i have done that it coughs on occasion when revving and sputters when gassed from around 2500 rpm. I have not yet had the tps set. Is this normal to experience before setting the tps? Or am i goung to need a DFO or power commander? I'm pretty sure that i'm running a little lean. Any info would be great. I've been seaching for hours now and haven't found an answer here yet. BTW the s3 is fuel injected. Thanks |

"I have not yet had the tps set." It is absolutely mandatory and imperative that you MUST have the TPS reset after installing a new ECM. Get it reset, and all will be well. Then get a service manual so you will know and learn about other such things before making similar mistakes. Also suggest running the Buell from 3,000 or more rpm before gassing it. It ain't a Harley cruiser. Red line is 6,800 rpm. BTW, you'll find tons of similar info in the Knowledge Vault archives. See you out there, Blake |
