Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new XB9SX and am looking for a local garage for my regular (and irregular) maintenance needs. I am not experienced in auto or motorcycle mechanics, and I don't really have a place to work on my bike - my condo complex has anything but a flat and level surface for their parking structures. I'm not opposed to learning to do the basics myself, but I also want to make sure that the bike is in top shape. I understand that the upkeep for motorcycles is much more important than for four wheeled vehicles, so I want to make sure that I'm doing everything right to keep both wheels rolling. Does anyone know of a good garage in the San Diego area that works on Buells? I took my bike into the dealership for the first service last week and was a little surprised at the high cost for work that was little more than an oil change. I would much rather have my money go to a private mechanic that is trustworthy and knowledgeable about my bike. Any information is truly welcome. Thanks, -Heath |

Not sure where you went, but I take mine to Biggs and have found thier Buell service prices reasonable, well compared to some of the OC H-D prices for my Sporty. --Sean |

Thanks Sean, that looks like the best bet for me - a little more convenient to get to. And it looks like both Biggs are offering Oil/Filter changes with safety inspection for $39. To be completed in 45 min while you wait. Can't beat that. Thanks again, -Heath (Message edited by cityxr on October 11, 2006) |
