I'd bet XB12 #1 went to the HD archives. |

I'm liking it. I thought you might. I got tires! Thanks to New12r. Fuking Buells! None of the bikes I've owned in the 30+ years I've been riding eats through tires the way this bike does... Getting my new tag Thursday or Friday, so I'll be headed up to the hills Saturday and or Sunday. Video time! |

i think i need about a 4 inch bore and the 3-1/8 stroke crank out of the xb9. around 11 to one static compression, about a 58mm throttle body, and let it rev to 8000 once in a while. yeah, that is my winter project.................. |

Hey Brineusaf- The road is a few feet to the right of your bike (or were you just cutting the apex?). It looks like you were having a Kodak moment. In some of Killboy's last pics he was down in a spot like you were standing and had a rattlesnake visit him. Another good reason to wear protective gear. |

Well, one of the recent posters that may have inspired this thread (Escham) has his XB for sale in the classifieds. Since he's selling his helmet too, I'd guess he's giving up 2 wheeling altogether. The sad thing is that regardless of his attitude and whether anyone "owed" him a new bike or not, if the moron at the dealer hadn't dropped his bike he'd still be a happy Bueller right now. His story also really reinforces what a lot of experienced riders have told me- new riders should NOT buy new bikes, unless they have lots of cash to burn. "The sad thing is that regardless of his attitude and whether anyone "owed" him a new bike or not, if the moron at the dealer hadn't dropped his bike he'd still be a happy Bueller right now." Maybe yes, maybe NO. He was kind of on shaky grounds as far as the risks involved in this past-time. I think he and his wife may have just been looking for a way out. An XB12S was a pretty radical ride to have as a FIRST BIKE. Lots of folks do it, but it still is a lot to have on tap for someone without many seat-miles and learning traffic and all that.
