So does this mean that if there is a frontage road posted at 25mph next to a freeway posted at 65mph that either you can go 65mph on the frontage road or your brakes will occasionally slam on when you're on the freeway until you hit 25mph parallel to the frontage road and get arserammed by the semi travelling at 55mph? Rhetorical but serious question, how does the system differentiate between nearby roadways with higher or lower posted speedlimits or in intersections. I guess one good point in one if these systems is that if I have a rental car equipped with one I can just drive with the throttle pedal floored all the time and let the car figure out how fast to go. I like my new sig. Thanks to Glitch and Sanchez! I will drive the crappiest cars on the road to make sure that no one other than me controls my speed, I dont need anymore interference when I am driving.

It's something that's been talked about quite a bit in Europe over the last few years since GPS became an affordable reality, the problem will be accidents taking place in the speedlimit transition zones between those equipped & those without, it may eventually happen, but I think, for the moment, that there are too many unfathomables for it to be a workable system. I wan't to die peacefully in my sleep, like my Uncle. Not screaming in terror like his passengers! | ||
