Someone took a bunch of standard pics from the tokyo motorcycle show and gave them to a complete tool to put captions under. http://thecarnut.typepad.com/photos/motorcycles_at_the_tokyo_/dsc00131.html This is about the worst moto-journalism I have ever seen. Go through these photos and read the random B.S. they put under each them. |

I especially like the one where they refer to the ducati monster as a dakar/enduro style bike |

I like the inline straight six suzuki. Imagine the innovation it's inline and straight! |

That guy must be a legend in his own mind. Someone should "out" this character for the buffoon he is. NUTS |

I didn't think it was possible to be that misinformed. I couldn't care less about cars, but at least I don't sound like a twit when talking about them. |

I was reading one of the exotic car mags (can't remember the name) in the doctor's office the other day when I came upon a one page editorial entitled, "When two wheels are better than four". It was about MotoGP when compared to F1 racing...and gave 12 different reasons why MotoGP racing was superior to F1 car racing. Remember, this was in a car mag! Of course, I agree, but not just about MotoGP, but all bike racing vs. car racing. Motorcycle racing makes NASCAR look like a kiddie car ride, IMHO. Apparently, one exotic car mag agrees. jimidan |

He's oblivious, but he was also at the show having a great time. A happy idiot... is that so bad? |

when I look at the concept bikes, "choppers", new glidewings, etc, it makes one wonder why would a person buy a new motorcycle of this type and not a car. hope the trend doesn't continue... |

I liked the stripped down BMW "650." And monoshocks are ultra trick! Vik (Message edited by eeeeek on May 01, 2006) |

It sure is cool that the Buell was the first bike shown, though. |

I don't think he was at the show at all. I think he bought those pics from someone that was at the show and ad-libbed all of the captions. If he were there, he would have seen all of the promotional stuff for Buell and the tech info for the "new 650 BMW" on the little signs. |
