Tramp, You are a lucky fella' indeed to be able to work with Bogs! Hard to say which is cooler, the hair or the turtles. I rode up to the local population a few weeks ago and the weeds were already so thick I couldn't see anything. Have you found any this year? The local reptiles and amphibians are starting to come out in full force due to a very mild Spring. Nothing really exciting as of yet but I am hoping to photograph a few life list species this year. |

Hah! I should have figured you fer a turtle man. I was always a lizard man myself. I personally caught many a Daly City Alligator lizard in the 60's a boy. 3 years ago, I snagged on in my back yard. The boys still have him and he is alive and well thanks to a great terrarium, fresh water and crickets. |

those gator lizards bite.... and bite GOOD! I saw one a couple weeks ago, in Big Sur. There are always a few lurking baout my grandparnts' garden, it seems, along with the obseqeous fence swifts and occasional california kings...... |
