woohooooo! 83 degrees and jennings racetrack next friday! way better than the snow predicted tomorrow here in milwaukee. my bike's coming along well too - spent some time up at badger motorsports working on it with 3 very nice racer/ex-racer friends who are being kind and patient wiht my learning. have front number plate and rear tail section in progress with the yellow spray painting to get my race numbers on. learned how to drill a safety wire hole, how to safety wire tonight. drained the primary. secured the front fairing with some bolts/zipties now that i've pulled (and sold) the mirrors/blinkers. had new pirelli tires put on. yeehaw! i havent refilled the primary yet. shop was closing up so i just drained it and put the fill plug/screw back in (which i drilled for safety wiring). working on the bike tomorrow and will fill it then - smarty pants! YES i will be at blackhawk in may to race, at road america in april to watch and learn, and at jennings next week to practice and learn! D | ||

shred - see ya there! paint - c'mon up! i'm still tinkering with the d*^% bike. it wouldn't start saturday....so its either going to get done tomorrow night (monday) to get on a truck headed to florida tuesday night, or i'm going to bring my XB9S (which isnt such an awful backup!). however, i really wanted to have some shakeout runs on the new racebike-to-be. regardless, i'm on a plane to jacksonville thursday and will see you guys soon! i am exhausted and sore, but thrilled with how the new racebike is handling and i *definitely* improved over the 2 days. i ran 8 sessions of 15 min yesterday and 5 sessions of 20 min today (though i bailed early the last 2 sessions). i got at least 200 minutes of track time , if not more! with under 15 people on track at a time over the 2 days. today, they combined into 2 groups and did TEN sessions today for each group. what fun. yesterday we had leon's XB9R and my XB9R. today we added Diana with a XB9S, Mike with an XB12R, and Tim with an XB12R. Leon's went onto the trailer early. also Mike748 on his KTM, and Brian on a Harley StreetRod. jennings is a great track! i hope to be back again D | ||
