Found this on one of the other forums. It has been done many times over with different types of machines, but you got to love the 2stroke power of this one! http://www.zshare.net/video/freddievszvssabre-wmv.html |

Hmm... I would have thought a TurboZ could have held off a 700 Sabre. |

The Sabre handled like a truck, but had quite a bit of torque. (I owned 2 of them) In 1985 the (1100cc) V65 magna (the sabres shared the same motors) was the fastest bike you could buy. the 700 and later 750cc models were down quite a bit on horse power, and were very heavy 500+lbs. Even so it still would have had power to weight over the Nissan. Fast Freddie certainly took his time getting his gloves and lid on |

Agreed. I've got an '82 Sabre V45 (750cc) in my garage. It's an overweight pig and a technological nightmare, but it'll crush the equally overweight Nissan ZX. |

They never say what exactly happened. Perhaps the Porche had a higher top speed than the bike and the bike was hitting its' rev limiter, or perhaps the bike had a mechanical problem. Wish they would have said. |

Not sure what's up with the last video, I've seen it before. The bike should do 170+mph. The car is good for closer to 190mph and should pass the bike eventually, but it looked like it had more than a lot more than 20mph on it at the end. |

I believe the bike felt the jet wash and slowed. |
