Is that the "current" issue with an article written before the announcement of the demise of the tube frame Buells? That announcement was made back in what, March or April? Even for a quarterly mag, that's pretty bad! You can find better and more up to date info here and on other sites. |

Yes, it's true ... no one is more disappointed than me. I'd like to publicly thank Reg for giving me the opportunity (albeit short-lived) to participate. And let's give a little credit to the guy, he worked hard and invested a lot of money into it and did a first class job, placing a large bet that he could make a viable business out of it. It didn't work out, but not for lack of trying. I admire people like him. |

I'd be willing to pay more for a subscription. This is sort of "our" magazine. What's it going to take? |

Each issue costs about $7.50 here in U.K. I`d willingly pay twice that for even a quarterly issue, Anyway thanks Reg & Lora it was great while it lasted!! |

even at $14 an issue, it would likely be a loosing proposition (financially) . . . . I loved the mag, wish to than Reg and Lora for getting it out, but the advertising base was just too small to support it, I'm thinking . . . . . . publishing is really expensive . . . . .the cost of a sub to one of the majors here in the sates just about covers postage . . . .everything else is picked up by advertisers |

i got my letter in the mail today too... f'in sucky. im sure it has alot to do with the fact that buell dropped the tube frame line and not many people want to hear about whats hot in aftermarket for 2 bikes (blast and xb). now watch the buell sales plummett... You cant run a magazine on a limited product line (a whopping 2 bikes (ok, 2.5)). it would take about 4 issues until every buell owner got our bikes featured in the mag and then what??? boring mag...no more news. yeah, im a little jaded about it. can you tell? o well, but it was fun while it lasted! |

I am very sad to see this happen. As one of the 3 original Battle2Win writing staff, I recall the excitment at the grand unveiling party in conjunction with the first Blue Groove, another high water mark, thanks to Reg, in the world of Buell. Although I can appreciate that the business case simply doesn't "pencil out" I was nonetheless sad to receive the letter. The magazine has been everything Reg promised in terms of top drawer quality and content. I subscribe to something like 74 magazines and this in the one that gets read cover-to-cover the moment it gets picked out of the mail box. I've also stood in awe of Reg's candor and editorial independence given the reliance necessary on HD cooperation. He write's fabulously, he thinks better. I, for one, will not be requesting a refund. Lord knows how much Reg and Laura have put in this and we all, in a small way, shared in the gamble. I thank Reg for the friendship, training and showing me how to move enthusiasm to one level higher. I hope he stays involved with Buell. Reg can keep my dollar-three-eighty as well . . . having been in publishing, I have a good idea of how much of himself (and herself) went into the mag, although I can only guess at the fiscal loss they've incurred . . .. at the risk of sounding like a completely selfsih swine, however, any news on Battletrax? |

BattleTrax I'm just guessing, but the b-trax is a separate entity from the publication, but could (now that I think about it) become another avenue or outlet for a small-run publication. I read on his site or elsewhere that the b-trax concept was being expanded to additional formats, but I forget the specifics. |

Mike . . .I chceked the website yesterday, and it was still up, and still not updated (does that mean it has been down-dated?) I hope BTrax continues, cuz it was just too d#^n much fun . . . .I gotta find a less-populated class next year though . . . .. I wonder what the SR500 would run in? |

I am sad to hear the bad news about B2W. I had writen an article about track days for Reg that was going to be in the next issue. I'm pretty sure that BattleTrax is going full speed ahead. I'm going to Baton Rouge in about a week and a half to be trained by Reg. That way we can hold our own series of 3 BattleTrax events here in good ole Waterloo in 03. Ride to the edge! Dave, If you think about it try and get more details on the other events he's working on, assuming it's public info. |

Reg and Friends, At this point I think the most we could do would be to cut down on his expenses and generate some cash flow to him. I am returning my letter and requesting that he not refund any monies owed me, and I would like to purchase excess inventory of B2win stuff he has laying around. My guess is that he needs cash and space. Paul |
