next Thursday i'll be on a bus heading to LAX, then on to Chicago and Appleton, Wisconsin, and in exactly ten days this little journey begins. i'd like to thank everyone who is helping put the Ferris Bueller Rides Again Tour together, and of course special thanks to Paul "Madduck" Elliott for the use of his new Ulysses and Dave Stueve at H-D/Buell of Appleton for his support and enthusiasm. thanks to Blake and all the fine folks who hang out here at BADWEB - i couldn't be doing this without you. and SPECIAL thanks to Denise.  the ride will start at 0700 from H-D/Buell of Appleton on Sunday Sept 4th, with overnight stops in: Waterloo, IA Kansas City, KS Pikes Peak, CO Grand Junction, CO Las Vegas, NV Lake Isabella, CA Ocotillo Wells, CA Santa Barbara, CA Monterey, CA you all are invited, of course, to come play with us anywhere along the way. all bikes are welcome, all riders are welcome. the only requirement is a sense of adventure, and a passion for motorcycles and the people who ride them. hope to see you on the road. GO SPIDY! well, after MUCH effort on the behalf of MANY dedicated Hooligans, we've just inked our lodging for the night of Thu 9/8 in Las Vegas: WE'RE STAYING AT NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE!!! SSgt Joshua Hjelmberg (Drfuyutsuki) is our sponsor, and will be leading us on a guided tour of the Nellis AFB flight line that evening, time to be determined. Nellis, for those who don't know, is the home base of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, and to say i'm all a'quiver at the potential photo opportunities would be a gross understatement. THANK YOU JOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lessee...my Aerostich, helmet, boots, etc. are all boxed up and heading out for Appleton this afternoon, so i don't have to check any baggage on my flight. seems REALLY odd to be parting with my riding gear, and sure reinforces that the time is drawing near. Dave Stueve and the good folks at H-D/Buell of Appleton will make us all feel welcome on Saturday 9/3, and there will be a group photo at 2 p.m. hope you can be there. nine days 'til ride launch... What happens between you and D is nona my bidness... CManiac, My buddy bought those bags from a Metric dealer. I belive they are tourmasters? I will have to ask him to find out for sure. They are nice bags but they scratched the hell outta his tail. | ||
