What happened? Did he lock up the back? I can't tell if the brake lights were always on, always off, or went on.

It did not look like that hard a turn when he initially lost the rear, and things went badly from there....

Looks likes things got worse when he took his foot off the peg. Ever try going around a corner with your inside leg hanging off the peg. Wonder what was on the other side of that wall?

You catch a glimpse of when he downshifts, and the Revs jump up a couple of grand, I wonder if he downshifted again, and let the clutch out as hard as he did prior and it made the back end step out, at which point it looks like he target fixated.

soo Not Funny

I could not pick out a breaking incedent, looks like the rider may have hit sand or some thing slipery, wiggle starts, rider panics and wham
It looked like target fixation to me too
interesting lesson, nothing I would call amusing
some one got hurt and lost a bike ........

wonder what was beyond the wall and weather or not "he" got up when that was over.
I sat here and watched the slow mo replay many times stretch it out to say 2x, the camera bike bobbles about the time the wiggles start, the video is to grainy to tell I wonder if that was an inexperienced rider, runs over a hump in the pavement, suspension is not set up right so you get major bobbles, I could not pick out a clutch or throttle movement, but it's a maybe on an up shift.. He looking at the wall target fixation

I agree with target fixation, seems that might have been avoidable. But that is easy to say sitting in the comfort of my bed. Hope he made out okay.

I think he just barely avoided a highside. The rear steps out to the right and then the bike snaps back in line again., almost throwing the rider off the bike - hence the left foot flailing around. I doubt he had any way of correcting his line in that position.

He might have hit a patch of gravel, wicked up the throttle, blown a downshift or some such.

Sorry Old Dog, didn't mean to offend. I personally didn't find it funny, just meant that there are a lot of people on the net that find that video and would laugh.

Awful way to ruin your day. Senseless for that matter. Probably thinking more about the camera than the road.

I think it was a miss-shift - into a lower gear instead of higher . . . when the clutch was let off it grabbed and the rest is history.

(just noticed Wyckedflesh already stated the same thing)

That's exactly what would happen to me if I tried to adapt to a GP shift pattern.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOuch! Morbid I know, but I think about stuff like that all the time when I ride. I don't know if it's normal or not, but I always play out accidents in my head. I guess it keeps me on the safe side. I still enjoy the ride too!
