It was also designed with the same software that Buell uses. Think3. |

I really like the look and style of the Wraith.....until you put a rider on it. In my eyes when there is someone riding a Wraith it looks like a monkey 'having his way' with a football, albeit a really cool football. |

cool bike...wonder how long the carbon fiber will hold up? even the britten bike broke their forks once while racing....broke right in two and then they made stronger ones. rex |

Rex, those look pretty beefy though. I like the wraith from a design aspect; would never own one though... |

$$50,000. That would be 1 new truck , 1 new Buell X, pipes and ECM, riding gear, new lawn mower, some more guns, and still have enough left over for insurance for about 10 years!!! And I still be the only Buell in town! |

...reminds me of the first time I saw an S1...couldn't stop staring...kept thinking about it...strangest motorcycle I'd ever seen... The Wraith is a stunning machine in so many ways. In others, I keep wondering why they are doing it thattaway? Keep in mind that it's a really really low volume production bike, hand assembled by engineers in a warehouse. Kinda Buell-like don't ya think? The ability to adapt on the go is ever present as is their ability to customize per buyers specifications!! Say what you want about the front end...pure genius in design and execution IMHO. The Wraith is built with dreams, imagination, guts and engineering excellence. Can barely wait to see it live and in person and hear the exhaust note... |

the only thing about that bike that i don't like... it's not precariously parked on the edge of a cliff! (if i spelled that big word wrong don't feel obligated to tell me about it) |

I had an early model Confederate for a couple of years. Cool looking bike, great power, top-of-the-line components everywhere you looked, but the damn thing wouldn't turn for ca-ca, and it developed serious mechanical issues within 6,000 miles. ZERO support from the company. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! rt |

the company has certainly gone through a number of changes, from coach-building virtual one-offs, to attempting to build the same product on a quasi-assembly basis (about the time, Thang got his, I believe), to, now, building very limited numbers of ever more limited models . . . . the Wraith desginer claims to have used 50s mobils as a design inspiration -- OK, well and good, I spose -- there's some stuff on there that is "right," IMO, and others that have clearly been altered to meet the design brief (curve on the forks), which renders those pieces "less than right," again, IMO seems like a very neat bar-hopper, to my eyes, but 50 long for a barhopper, even in these Discovery Channelized days, seems, er, I dunno, a little much not alot going on here that's groundbreaking from an engineering standpoint -- neat from the "built by a couple a guys with a well-equipped garage" point of view (I know it's a bit more than that) lil eye candy for some folks -- not for me, though, thanks as for the Motor-fiz comment, well, at least their producing bikes, yes? |

I just got back from New Orleans and visited their shop while I was there. You'd never expect that they build bikes there from the looks of it. They didn't have any hellcats done but we got to talk to a few people while they were building one. It kind of threw me for a curve, we just walked in and they invited us into the shop and chatted for a while, gave us all info and a DVD of a speed channel feature on Confederate. Both the Hellcat and the wraith are amazing bikes, lots of cool features and engineering in them. Granted, their not for everyone, but I'd take one in a heartbeat. Next year the Hellcat goes to 130ci. That's on a 500lb bike...fun. 150 Wraiths to be produced and there's no chance of getting one till next summer. If I start saving now... |

They took the first one to the salt and went a stunning 135mph. |

Oh yeah, check out the under engine exhaust (not that you can see anything but the pipe). And the Hellcat's exhaust exits through the swingarm. |
