Hmmm...Unless the bike is sold, I wonder if Dave needs someone to ride it back from CA for him? Sure would like to volunteer for that duty. Not to mention, I can show it off to all my Buell Doubting riding buds in So Cal. Plus, by booking a round trip flight, whoever is paying the premium for a one way flight would be happy to share the expense as well. | ||

the bike is sold, to Paul Elliott, aka Madduck. it's Paul's bike i'll be riding, not Dave's or Appleton H-D/Buell's. when the dust settles after the trip (right on the heels of posting the story and photos on BADWEB we're hosting the annual Oktoberfast ride), Paul and i have entertained the possibility of me riding his bike towards Minnesota, where he lives, and formally presenting it to him, with words and pix to follow here on BADWEB. it'd make a GREAT closing chapter to the saga, and i hope it comes down exactly that way. I have some details to hack through, but I believe the first ever Badweb 'Field of Dreams' baseball game will be happening, along with a few other events in my neck of the woods. We'll be headed for Waterloo on the 4th, and KC on the 5th. Definitely get your boys involved with part of the trip! | ||
