Dave I have a cleaning question for ya. I was detailing my XB last nite and when cleaning the undercowl area there seems to be pieces of rubber stuck to it. It must have happened when your XB12R started to smoke its rear tire in West Bend during the Homecoming. Then my XB9R started its tire smoking...... so how do you remove this? I scrubbed it with a brush and S-100, its still there! I hope this isn't contagious to other Buell's.......ya know smokin tires, sticky rubber on the under cowl or rear fender. So how do I clean it off? Or is my XB going to carry these "scars" for life?........

Mike give some Honda contact cleaner a try with spraying it in a rag and rub briskly.

Leave it on there, helps give the bike character.
I still have a ton of that crap on the undertail of my bike & its staying there until it falls off on its own.

Hell I havent even fixed the scrape I got from my lowside yet, bought the paint but dont know if I am even going to bother fixing it. Gives character & has a story behind it. My bike is like me, we both have scars with stories behind them: D

Any Idea when my part is going out. Not sure how much longer the temp repair will hold.

Daves - Do you have any idea if Buell started building the 06 bikes before they introduced them? I'm just trying to figure out how many exist.

BTW, thanks for that quote on the clutch switch you got me a few weeks ago. I'll eventually get off my lazy butt and call you.

Thanks for the input. Yep I have the scars too from my Road America get off, guess the rubber bits just add a little more character, and besides it's a Buell, I ride it!

Dave I just had to give ya a hard time been a while!
