Although Battle2Win has been gone for some time now, each time new models come out, I am especially sad. As a dorky engineer I want to know every last technical detail regarding the new models. Will the tranny retrofit? Why is the oil change now 10k? What changed internal to the engine? Etc, etc, etc. If anyone can fill in the blanks for these new bikes, I would greatly appreciate it. Naturally, I also want to know what new technology I can take advantage of for my 2000 M2 from the new models. |

He's standing outside of a hospitality tent somewhere in southern California. |

You can take the heads, cylinders, pistons and flywheels (with some case modification). The tranny won't work, and why would you want to? There's a lot of sources for technical info. RoadracingWorld has a lot of specs for the new models. |

That mag was the seeds! Does anybody know why it folded? I'm waiting for a full collection to pop up on ebay one of these days. |

Life -- my guess would be that the cost vs the revenue (specially in light of the small number of Buellers at the time) just didn't make sense -- strangly, if Buell gets big enough to it's ridership to support a glossy mag like that, the other glassy mags will likely cover the topic sufficiently me, I never saw a publication full of more, or better data -- I refer to mine alla time! |

I agree, Battle2Win gave better technical data than any other magazine I have ever read. Sure, I love roadracing world, but are they going to show you the new oil passages and explain how to retrofit them......I don't think so. I understand the 2006 tranny has helical instead of straight cut gears. They should be quieter and shift much better. That is why I would want to update. |
