Does anyone make a set up that has rear set controls AND reverse pattern shifter? I have the Banke footpeg relocation kit on my 1999 M-2 and the "new style" 2000 model shifter (which I set up for reverse pattern shifting). I would like to go to rear set controls but it looks like I will have to go back to standard shift when I do. I would prefer to have both my bikes reverse pattern so that my poor brain won't have to make the switch when I switch bikes.

I've never understood reverse pattern, but hey whatever. Sato rearsets can do the reverse patter shift.they retail about just under $600.00. "Billet 4 race" on ebay guy may be able to hook you up, too...

Baker makes a reverse shift drum...if you need it.

You can get a set from Buell Racing that uses a Storz shift lever in reverse fashion. Those are really "highsets" since they actually move the pegs forward and up. Those are sold for "race use only"

Was wondering about this myself guys. On my 2002 M2 with late style linkage in stock location it looks like just turning the short arm on the outside of the case for the drum 180 degrees will reverse shifting. I.E. when in stock location getting first gear shaft turns counter clockwise and when arm is turned 180 degrees getting first gear shaft turns clockwise. Am I missing something here? Anybody done this and any problems other than mind set? Thanks much, Bob

Reverse pattern... A big advantage at a track where you are having to upshift while leaned over hard left. Also makes upshifting easier, more deliberate, and quicker/more reliable in clutchless power-shift scenarios. It can be tough to unlearn decades of instinctive conventional shifting though.

Bob- You are correct sir. I've had no problem with my shift arm set this way. Took a little fiddling to get it just right for my rear sets.
