Its a CityX with a different front fender and the 12 motor. A whole four inches of travel.

I was expecting this bike. The next one will be the same thing with a different headlight, handgrips and hard bags.

"Its a CityX with a different front fender and the 12 motor. A whole four inches of travel."

Absolutely not, but I can't say more until after the 23rd.

Who says it has 4" of travel? There are two or three new models coming out aren't there?

Looks like more than the previous suspension travel to me. And in keeping with the philosophy of making one part serve two functions... how do you like that case guard/muffler. : )

Looks to be different around the tensioner pulley. Still a lot that is blacked out. Fuel capacity is the big open question.

Hopefully Ulysseus will be properly equipped to undertake some truly epic adventures. With a name like that, it promises to do so. : )

Good point, the wheelbase does appear to be more conventional.

The Ulysses would hopefully be looking to compete more in the class of an R1200GS or a Ducati Multistrada, or a V-Strom or a KTM 950 Supermoto than a dual sport like the DRZ400.

If anyone is giving them away, I'll take one of each please. : )

Is Erik still the one who "creates" the bikes? Are they his idea, or the marketing teams?

I think there's a lot more daylight between the front tire and the chin fairing than there is on the present XB's. I'll bet that means more rake and longer forks for more suspension travel. The bike just looks bigger than the present XB's relative to the rider, but of course that may turn out to be "artistic license".

Doughnut... Erik said he basically got all the input from us, and others and then told his engineers to build it! Buell has very talented people there. Another reason I ride a Buell. Listening to him speak of the motorcycles and the technology behind them is like listening to a proud father talking about his children and their accomplishments. He's almost giddy with excitement.

Ummm... could that be two wheel drive? Look at the front hub?!?! Probably not, but there seems some extra stuff down low there.

And the location of the front cylinder head is WAY different then a current XB. The wheel relative to the head is WAY low and WAY out front.

The rear belt sprocket looks... odd... as well.

it's a drawing, ladies and germs...

and as such, it is juuuuust enough to keep us [rabidly] going

I usually find it hard to like things from photos and have learned to reserve judgment for a real world touch & feely - this looks good already though. Very good.
