While riding my 99 x-1 today it began to run really bad about 75 miles from home. Limped it home and pulled off the air cleaner and found a bolt from the throttle body butterfly laying in the aircleaner. I tried to put it back in and discovered the shaft that rotates the butterfly open when activated by the throttle cable was broken in half. My throttle cables was also pretty chewed up from working to keep it running while trying to limp home. anyone else ever have this problem and know where I can get new shaft and parts. I guess I was lucky the bolt didn't go into the engine |
