I have a question on the harbor freight wheel balancer. How do you get it to balance? The axle doesn't seem to fit over the balancer? So what do I do? | ||

My recommendation is to take it back, get your money back and NEVER go there again. Cheap tools, though a temptation, are the scourge of the universe. AL | ||

I'd agree with Al. There is some stuff I've bought from Harbor Freight because I'll likely only use it once or it's going to be 'modified', other than that I stay away from their stuff. Very very little of it is of any quality. I've probably got several thousand dollars worth of tools in the garage, they will all be around for my kids and grandkids to use someday. Can't say the same for cheap roos. Good tools are an investment, and a good one too. | ||

I LOVE Harbor freight. Their stuff is not the best quality, but if it wasn't for their Tire Changer I'd still be paying full retail at the local stealer. I have no problem supporting the local dealer, but $200 for a rear tire, plus $50 for mounting, is ridiculous when I can get the tire for $120.00 and mount it myself I have a balancer from http://www.tireqwik.com and it works well | ||

A large C clamp, is all I have used to break the bead, and a set of tire irons and plastic milk jugs! I used to samwich the tire between two 2X6 boards and run the Jeep up on them but I found out the C clamp works quicker! | ||

I use the static balancer from Metzler. I love it. As far as the HF tire changer. I use it. But that and most of their tools are cheap •••• from China. |
