What size is this nut? I'm trying to find the proper tool to loosen it. Thanks

The locknut is 52 mm- check this thread in the KV for details on suggested tools:

A 2" open end wrench will work with a little machining or a lot of filing, a 2-1/16" wrench will work if you can find one. You can get "thin" wrenches (also called engineer's wrenches) from McMaster Carr and other suppliers in the correct sizes for around $25 each.

Several guys have gotten a Ridgid smooth jaw pipe wrench (Ridgid model # E-110) at Home Depot or Lowes for about $25 that'll open large enough for the job.

The shock nut itself is 60 mm which works out to 2-3/8" but lots of guys use a strap wrench to turn the shock itself (~$5 lots of places).
