I was surfing around and saw some cool wheel chocks that held the bike up while you strap it down but the price was a little high. So last night, having an easy job running at work, I set out to make my own. This will make it much easier loading the bikes that don't have kickstands! Not much for required materials: Tire cradle = (1) 1/8 x 2" x 18" mild steel "V" to hold tire = (3) 1/8 x 2" x 8" mild steel Pivot pin = (1) 1/2 dia x 4" mild steel Pivot brackets = (2) 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle x 3" Uprights = (2) 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 angle x 22" (Fit my trailer) Drill a few holes, bend it, weld it and POOF! Took about an hour to make 2. Your times may vary. Some assembly required. Batteries not included. |
