A guy I work with says he used to go over to the motorplex pay $50 and they would let him ride their road course all day. Has anyone done this? Is there any requirements to do this?

I would guess that you will need to take a beginners training course. I doubt they would let you just show up and race.

I'm trying to get it worked out to take the May training course. Us flatlanders should try to get together some time and tear up the ... uh... off ramps?
A couple of weekends ago my wife spent a couple of days in the Loess hills in Iowa. Great fun!

North of Council Bluffs. Great hill country!

What Dave said! Lots of 2 lane twisties. Small towns, pretty country. We rode up to Sioux City and then followed the hills down to Council Bluffs. A couple hundred miles away from us, and you I believe...

There is a nice road that leads to a town called Bebe town. Long road of 45mph sweepers. Their is a small dive bar that everyone goes to and if you ask the bar tender they will let you try to join the 100mph club, if you ride the road to the bar in a certain amount of time(or so the story goes).I went to it one time but I can't find that road again. Only problem I have found in the area is that it seams every house has a gravel drive way and they are all at the apex of the curves. Which leaves a scary bit of gravel out on the roads.
