Lesse, Made in the US of A, hydraulic valve adjustment, local service people I trust implicitly, affordable exclusivity, Dealer is drinking buddy, shop is close to home, big honkin' gobs of torque. If Mitchell Boehm doesn't like it, it must be excellent. Bob |

jup. he´s back on the BadWeB. need to be - weather here in germany is getting better and i will try to free up some time to go riding, this weekend will try to weld an exhaust so i will not get arrested for having too much dB... Got german plates and papers for the X1 but not rideable yet, too loud, definitely too loud... |

Mitch actually rode at the Daytona CCS endurance races as a teammate with Paul James on his #247 XB Buell. He was very impressed with it from what I was told. Hopefuly he will write about it soon in Motorcyclist Why a Buell? The most fun bike you can ride at legal speeds. |

I agree with Dyna on this one, to each his own. I like my Buell because it's fun, loads of character and a lot of look at me factor. I also like Triumph,Kawi's,Yamaha's,Suzuki's,Aprilia's,Ducati's and KTM's everything except Honda, only because I think their bikes have absolutely no character. I chose to ride a Buell for Now but who knows what I will be riding in a couple of years. Hopefully if I pay another $11,000.00 on a bike, the paint on the wheels won't flake off in chunks after 2000mi.(Ridiculous!) |

Boese, Sounds like you have the need for speed to avoid those hormonally caused compromises... Charlotte |

"(Mitch Boehm) was very impressed with (a Buell XB) from what I was told. Hopefuly he will write about it soon in Motorcyclist." That would be a nice change to see. |

Robert mentioned: Hopefully if I pay another $11,000.00 on a bike, the paint on the wheels won't flake off in chunks after 2000mi.(Ridiculous!) You prolly ordered the standard wheel paint job made for dry weather like Arizona and not the custom all weather painted wheels. Probably your fault anyway for living in MN. -SD: |

I just picked up my X-1 after being at the dealer for 2 weeks to get the 10,000 mile service, check for recalls , tires changed and belt replaced. I didn't realize how much i missed it until I had a 150 mile ride home. burning thru the corners and hammering out of them is great. I bought a buell because I WANTED one. Not a 175mph road burner, not a fat tired chopper or cruiser. If you have to explain it, forget about it. Torque, no other bike looks or sound like it and it handles great thru the corners. I would probably not buy another one, but the one I have, I really like. I have owned a few bikes of various makes, and my buell is the most fun. I am also a big fan of the colt 1911A1, And i have also owned a few handguns over the yrs. other than a .44Mag desert eagle, nothing compares (Message edited by Tom_B on April 17, 2005) |

I think Mitch Boehm is cool, motorcycle fanatic in every way. Every one is allowed an opinion (and he liked the M2). I bought my first Buell (Blast) because I grew up around Harleys, but wanted a sportbike. It was the logical starting point as my wife was pregnant and I did not have much cash or street experience. I bought my M2 because it told me to. |
