I just got some new exhaust gaskets for my 97 S-1 and when I put the header back in place to install the gap is huge between the exhaust port and the header clamp. Is this normal? Should I run the nuts down and tourqe them or is there something I am missing?? I am sure they are in correctly because when I took the old ones out I double checked. Help a brotha' out I wanna ride tommorow!!! Thanks! |

Nemster-what kind of header is it, if it's the stock header I am pretty sure the stock exhaust gaskets are right and then they just get torqued down, if you have an aftermarket like the force exhaust you need to get some screaming eagle gaskets because the regular stockers will mushroom out in get into the path of the exhaust. thats about all I know about it though |

It's just a stock header. I torqued them down per the manual and they pulled in a little more so I guess I will see tomorrow!!! I love those smileys!! |
