I just sent this to the speed channel... "I'm a race fan and a motorcycle fan. I think that your viewers would be better served by showing races during prime time on Tuesdays as opposed to the same episode three times each of \"Corbin\'s Ride On\", \"American Thunder\" and \"TWT\". The coverage of World Super Sport and Formula Extreme is already too early for me to watch when it comes on. I\'d have to leave work early. I propose that you show the aforementioned shows earlier and racing a little later so that those of us who work a 40hr week can watch the racing we crave. Thank you." |

I do man... I'm a born and bread dye'd in the wool race fan. I like ALL forms of racing (some not SOOO much CAUGHNASCARCAUGH). I crave it. The damn speed channel shows F1 (The flipping PINACLE of motorsport) at 9:30 in the morning on Sunday. It should be PRIME TIME. NASCAR has shows on THREE channels at all hours of the day. They're showing a NASCAR DRIVER POKER GAME ON PRIME TIME but they can't show FX racing at a time that anyone that works a normal schedule can watch it. Why don't they just have a NASCAR channel and then another channel for road racing? Why don't they use the FX channel for all of the extra NASCRAP and leave the speed channel for real race fans? That's what it USED to be... |

Too bad there aren't as many sport-bike lovers as there are nascar fans. The market (ratings) drive what's on to see. There just aren't as many of us as there needs to be. At the Suzuki Shoot Out here, you could go ANYWHERE you wanted. Look at the stands at a MotoGP race in Europe, it's like nascar is here. Sucks I know. |

I'm not for all this crap on Speed Channel either but as Glitch said it's OUR fault if we don't all Email them and make OUR VOICES HEARD.They adjust what they play to Market Ratings so everyone COMPLAIN DAILY till they hear us!!! |

We have multiple showing of American Thunder so the RUBs can get lots of Michelle Smith activity..not that that is a bad thing..even though watching her sit on the latest and greatest billet barge and expounding on how great the paint is gets a little tedious |

Guys, people on Speed's own forum have been bitching about this since the first WSBK of the year was shown Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Eastern. There are some Italian t.v. stations who broadcast WSBK races live that you can watch over the net. As far as MotoGP, subscribe to the website and you can watch live qualifying and the live race- NO COMMERCIALS on your computer for about $36 for the whole season. The only thing I need Speed for now is AMA Races, and hopefully they'll go via net soon. When that happens, Speed can keep all the NASCRAP shows on they want- that's who they cater to anyway!! |

I also don't like to get the races a few days after the event but I always tape the races now. This way I can skip all the crap and look only the good parts! |

I need to get a Tivo box... I also need to request time off on each day that they'll show FX early until I get one... Bastards. |

btw M1 you do realise that part of the problem is that you live in AZ which neither runs Eastern nor Pacific time most of the season? The shows are ratings driven, if the ratings are higher for Corbin and Michelle then that is whats going to be shown, if the ratings are higher for such shows as OCC and Boyd then your going to ge tBuild or Bust and Unique Whips in an attempt to compete. It all comes down to the advertising dollar, the more people that watch the higher that advertising dollar is worth. Shows aren't made for us to watch, but to see what high dollar commercials they can get shown. |

Look at the crowds in the stands at NA$CAR events - then look at the "crowds" at an AMA event. I assume TV viewing is pretty much the same. Be most interesting to see what happens during MotoGP in Laguna Maybe I'd be more enthused about NA$CAR if I could drink a couple six-pacs without passing out - then I might appreciate a sport where I could see the whole freaking thing without having to move my head or my eyes. You want "go fast, turn Left" excitement? Do it open wheeled!! Midgets, Sprints, Super-Modifieds, Outlaws. That's racing. NA$CAR's "trading paint" don't mean nuttin - with open wheels, it means you're getting LAUNCHED. |

Slaughter is on the money, no pun intended. I emailed with a guy at speed about the Tuesday night change a few years ago. It's ratings, period. This is not Europe or Asia where a significant part of the population appreciates pure racing. This is Nascar Nation. |

Corbin's Ride On is absolutely without redeeming value. Why would anyone watch it? I do understand NASCAR is going to be the biggie, but dear God, can't we at least have a couple of one hour motorcycle shows that aren't drivel?! |
