I remember I think Bomber asking about garage floors a time ago.I purchased a my house a few years ago and prior owners had painted the garage floor and it was beat by the time I took ownership. So I painted it as well and of coarse it peeled and went to heck on me in one year with the winters and salt and such here in Wisconsin.I looked into all types of floor alternatives ranging from thousands to epoxy's.Finally in a Menards sale add I found a rubber floor mat that I could get in 6 different color choices,I chose grey.It comes in 7 1/2ft x 19ft rool and bought 2 for my garage.I can wash it.It won't peel, stain or as slippery as the painted surface was.It ribbed slightly so it won't be slippery to walk on.I payed $113.00 a piece for them.Quite happy with the look and how durable they will be.Heres a couple pics.

Man, that's a clean garage. Mine looks like a hurricane (Florida pun here) went through it. Nice floor btw. |

Ryan, I was thinking the same thing. I guess I spend too much time playing instead of cleaning. |

That sounds like a great idea ! Are the mats sturdy enough to drive a car on? Do the two rolls connect somehow (with edges like a jig saw puzzle maybe)? |

Bad -- it WAS me -- thanks for the tip -- I've been seeing those thingies in catalogs that arrive at the entropy lab daily, but for a whole lot more dough -- Ray -- they are supposed to be fine for cars, too, although I'm thinking bikes (especially the kickstand) are potentially more damaging than cars and, just for the record, Bad's garage always looks like you could perform surgery in there -- he is clearly far more organized than I! |

Wow I have never seen such a clean garage, my walls are three different colors, my floor was grey at one time now its a little grey, some black (from stains) but mostly brown. After seeing how clean a garage can look, im heading to home depot to start my new project.... |

Here's my garage pics. I just changed the tires on the S1 on my jury rigged stand setup. Not the best but it worked in a pinch. I've slowly turned my 2 car garage into my small shop, now we're thinking of moving so I'll have to start all over. It's usually a mess until I can't stand it any more and I do a clean up. The other bike is my wifes 72 Yamaha R5, father to the famous RD350. Hodakaguy

It was a great jeep but we're getting ready to move and I still owed money on the jeep so I sold it. It was either the Jeep or the Buell and when it came down to it the Jeep had two to many wheels :-) Nice looking bike BadS1! How do you like the Spurgin oil cooler? My garage has become so encumbered with valueless but somehow undiscardable space displacement devices, that I'm not sure a floor still exists in there. |
