Homecoming is in June. If the 06's are available in June for demos at the Homecoming they should be available for viewing/demos at Laguna Seca in July for the MotoGP/AMA race.

Hey here's an idea, why not talk to the Track/AMA/FIM into letting the new 06 Buells into doing a few parade lap between the races?

Great Exposure opportunity, eh?

I can't believe anyone at the factory or a dealership would be stupid enough to discuss future models before it's introduction.

I'm sure something I want will be made by Buell because I bought a new 05 Road Glide. BUT it goes when the Buell sport tourer is out! And maybe if a water cooled sportbike the XB9R will be replaced. Decisions, decisions.........

I know for a fact that next year Buell will produce....

A lot of smiles in my helmet : ) This XB9SX is an amazing motorcycle. Nothing like getting a bunch of fantastically talented engineers together, and telling them to go build the most fun bike you can possibly build.

My bet is a XB1350. They've been working real hard on reliable race bikes for some reason. Wish in one hand, ........the other. but I can hope.

Thanks for posting the picture of the Strat. It used to be motorcycles.....this is causing domestic unrest.

Not my fault, I continue to maintain, that I live a stone's throw, quite literally, from the world's most famous guitar store.

I'm with Buelliedan.
I'd guess the XB chassis may become the new home for the Blast motor. I'm guessing the suspension will be on par with the present blast as well as the seat hieght.
A snafu to this idea is that the design of the XB frame may not be such a good thing for learning riders. The insurance companies really like overcharging people for coverage.
Of course this is all total speculation.

>>>My 13yr old daughter who now has 3 would kill to get there.

If you are ever in NYC, let me know and I'll take you on the tour. Frankly, here in the office I just keep an old Gibson similar the John Lennon "Peace" model.

But Stan Jay, agruably the world's premier authority on collectible stringed anythings is a very personable fellow. Who else do you know that will ship you a vintage guitar worth more than a Porsche for you to "try out". Walking in the door, you are always greeted with "pick anything up and play it". NOTE: This does not apply to the "Classic Room" (where Keith Richards #003 Bassman is) which has the stuff from about 10K up to over 100K. Although they are much freer with access than I would be.

Ever dreamt of an entire wall of Bluegrass and Gibson Mandolins? How about a room full of Hofner basses where Sir Paul waited while his was being teaked in the back.

George Harrison tried to "sneak" in thinking that the store, located in an old house, was out of the way enough for him to walk in unannounced and survive for a while sans traffic. Wrong, the report went out and within 30 minutes there were hundreds of folks.

My personal favorite, given that I lack the ability to play worth a hoot, is to go in with my son (who DOES play worth a hoot) and listen to the folks "try" various pieces of musical art.

Where else in the world can you be carrying on a conversation with Lenny Kravitz of Indie Arie and not know who they are? Colin did and I got a "damnit Dad, why do you embarrass me my talking to them?"

Oh yeah?..new Buells? This year? Again?

Cool....I've never been dissapointed in 20 years.

Court, several months back I was in Nashville and without even realizing it, I walked into the Gibson store with a Fender shirt on. I thought I was going to get thrown out.

Now, if I only had the cash for that Zakk Wylde edition Les Paul. Oh well, I'm a strat bodied man at heart anyway.

Bluz,
I wouldn't be surprised at all.

X1,
I only wish it were my Strat. I do own a bowling ball though, I'm not good with it either.

Steve Smyth

Strats and Les Pauls are cool, but some of the "newer" guitar companies are putting out some nice designs too. I've always liked the fiddles that Steve Smyth (ex-Testament, Nevermore) plays. I think the one in the picture is an ESP. Oh and PC, last time I checked Ebonite made a "Zebra" bowling ball to match that Zakk Wylde guitar.

Just my opinion, but guitars like that typically don't have much tone of their own. All the tone comes from the amp/effects. The body shapes of the the strats and Les Pauls are more than just aesthetic, they contribute to the tone. Take an amp, zero all the controls, plug in a strat and play. Plug in an LP and play. Plug in a tele and play. They all have a very unique tone. Plug in one like the above and they sound dead to me. (This is without having played the one above, but more of a general comment about guitars with bodies designed more for looks than tone.) Again, just my opinion, but I expect to be flamed for it.

I can't tell the difference between one gas powered lawn mower and another. But I can play the radio.

I wondered about that Ray. My 9sx feels like it REALLY hit the sweet spot with the 9 motor, it just feels right for the scrappy and responsive nature of the bike.

A XB12SX would be cool if the slapped in the 12 motor, but kept in the 9 gearing. Wheeee!!!!!

The 9 is plenty of motor for me though.
