05 Pace Journey V-nose trailer. Torsion axles, interior light, roof vent, rear ramp, side door, etc. Now I just need to outfit it with some shelving for helmets, hangers for jackets, etc & good to go for track days.

Its a 6'x10' & the V-nose helps give some nice extra room. Interior is actually about 11.5' long. I think I could definitely squeeze 3 bikes in here. |

Very nice Dyna, but a black trailer and its contents can get mighty hot when sitting in the sun for few hours. Go trade it in for a white one....... |

Thats why it has the roof vent I wanted one that matched my Chevy & its hard to go wrong with black. Now I need a big Yamaha tuning fork symbol for the rear door |

I'm jealous! But I can't justify a nice trailer like that, no more than I would use it. Nice trailer! |

Been happy with my haulmark 6x14. Torsion axles are the only way to go. Did you opt for brakes? I would bet if you didn't look in the mirror, you would never know its back there. |

Nah, didnt go with the brake package. My tow vehicle isnt setup for it right now anyways & this trailer weighs about 1,100 lbs empty. And you are right, I really couldnt feel it behind me, towed very nicely & my vehicle is only rated for towing 3,500 lbs which is perfect for a trailer & a couple bikes. Jim, when it was all said & done $3100 was the final price. I could have gotten one for less but then you give up options like the V-nose or the ramp door, etc. Some dealers are selling similar trailers for $3600 & up & thats before taxes. I might have been able to save a little more by traveling to Indiana...for some reason most of the trailers are produced there & the prices are lower...but I didnt feel like going on some 3 day road trip. |

Picked up some shelving & hooks for it a little bit ago. Now I just need to install them, bolt the chocks down & its playtime. |

What in the world happened to Dyna in Daytona? First he discourages me from giving Blake a hard time. I honored this request, BTW. Then Dyna announces he's bought a trailer! He plans to trailer his bike! I'm starting to wonder, if you know what I mean! Nice trailer though! |

John.....I ride when I can but for track days a trailer just makes more sense...crashes can & do happen, hard to ride home on a wadded up bike. Also 2 instances in the past have made me a firm believer in trailering when possible........my X1 meltdown in Deals Gap & my little fiasco in Sturgis in 2000...that one cost me a $700 uhaul to get home. |

Ken, torsion axles are basically a chunk of rubber compressed between an axle tube and the axle itself. It works on the principle of compressing the rubber sandwich. The cool thing is it gives a trailer independent wheel action. Makes for towing a trailer a nicer experience. Dyna, your late model GM tow veh might already have most of the tow package in it, wiring at least. Dodge does a good job of hiding that little bit on the Rams. Cab and power block come wired for it wether or not the tow package is opted for. Just had to drag a brake wire(to the back), Y the tail and turns and hang a class 4. |

Greg, I know! I was just being funny. Can't I be funny anymore? Everybody seems all serious lately. It's weird! I didn't get the memo that humor is no longer allowed on the Buell boards! I'm just kidding!!! |

Having bought MANY trailers during 32 years in construction, I go for the best I can afford. Almost always used Wells Cargo, but the Pace is a great consumer trailer. That's about precisely what I'd buy for myself. I think I'd opt for the brakes, but that's likely my personal reaction to having once been passed by the Vermeer 454 trencher I was towing. Nice trailer! |

Loki, yep the towing package was factory installed but there is no mention of any electric brake deal. John, humor is more than welcome....when are you going to use some? Court, yep Wells Cargo are nice trailers as are the Featherlights but I wasnt about to shell out that amount of $$ right now. |

Dyna, You mentioned rear ramp door, does that mean the rear door is the ramp to ride or push the bike up? |

What do you do Greg? Power Press your R1 to get it into that wheelchock? and aren't the hooks on the wrong side to be holding the bike up towards the ceiling of that trailer? |

That is great, not having to deal with ramp. I have been looking for a trailer, will have to check out the PACE. |

Greg, If/when you decide that brakes are needed, or you need any other thing for it, these guys helped me a lot: http://www.etrailer.com Al |

Greg, Look under the dash (above your rt foot), you might find an unused connector stashed up in there. If there is I would wager it is industry standard for a brake controller. Just a hunch. Al, Good place to shop..... Mine was an easy conversion. Dexter seems to always add the mount flange for the backing plate. So it was a simple pull the idler hub, bolt on the backing plate, install the drum/hub and wire the things. |

Greg, One other thing you might(should) consider for the trailer floor. A couple good coats of a porch floor paint to seal it up. Seal it and seal it good. |

I was thinking about putting down some tile or maybe even the stuff that interlocks & you can make patterns depending on your color choice & imagination. Wycked..LOL, dont have the chock yet for the R1, thats the one for the skinny 21" tire on the HD. |

-wired for 110 and excellent lighting -box sitting midship is a hush box for the compressor and doubles as a work table -wood frames on rt hold my LP stands with spring clips -those bags? made by Case Logic and sold in Target -oil can rack -three tier rack on lt from Rubbermaid(?) holds nine plastic coffee cans -floor was painted with that porch paint to seal it(3/4" sturdi-floor T&G) -alum (.065" tread plate for where the bike normally gets stowed -front half is carpeted with boat deck carpeting -back half has that tread plate for a toe kick |
