F1 - 985HP/600 Kilo's = 1.642HP/Kilo GP - 280HP/165 Kilo's = 1.7HP/Kilo As you can see, the power to weight ratio is pretty close (although I did pull the GP number from a place where there's no sun). The bikes can't even BEGIN to keep up under braking or cornering speeds. They mostly keep up coming out of a corner, and begin to have an edge once they can put the power down, and that advantage grows with the speed because they don't have wings. The problem is that they can't keep anywhere near the speed through the corners so they have no chance at all of passing anywhere, let alone of making better lap times. Keep in mind... Toyota will be spending in EXCESS of $850,000,000 this year alone in their F1 effort. Ferrari, McLaren and Williams spend ~$800,000,000. Jordan spends about $40,000,000. |

I don't know jack about Formula 1 I just read in Roadracing world, I think last summer, about them posting faster lap times somewhere in Japan. The times you are posting are like 30 seconds apart so I guess I am wrong. I'll stand corrected unless I can find what the heck I read. |

>>>I think if MOTOSCZL is succesful, its going to take a alot of BUELL owners away from BUELL. There is also FISCHER Sportbikes now coming out. I predict the Motorsizzle and the Fissure will race in the exact same number of motorcycle events. On the other hand, I will, for years to come, enjoy the humor of the review...."if it ran, this would be a really good motorcycle". Take $8,500. Go to Buell dealer. Laugh, be gleeful and enjoy life on your XB9SX. Oh yeah....and buy HD stock. For folks who bought it at $9.00/sh back in 1983, the ensuring years have not looked like a joke. Court |

"For folks who bought it at $9.00/sh back in 1983, the ensuring years have not looked like a joke." It took more guts (and money than I had at the time) to have made that investment. I, for one, thought that HD was going to go down the tubes and be a footnote in the MC industry, like Indian. The last thing in the world I would have thought back then was that I'd one day be riding a Harley engined motorcycle. |

Like they say, Hindsight is 20/20. Then after one miserable year with my 1980 Wide Glide, I not only swore I would never buy another Harley product I did the LMAO thing when they announced their IPO. I still did well in the market, but my friends back home are still teasing the hell out of me for buying a 2000 X1 and later a 2003 Wide Glide. Still, it will be interesting to see what their stock does as they gradually make the conversion from Harley to Charlie compliments of their continued Asian outsourcing. |

M1, I checked in at another board. In 2002 it was a faster top speed. Thanks for getting me straight. I hate walking around with delusions. |

That sounds about right . I never miss a chance to expose the technical marvel that is a modern F1 car. They have eight springs in the suspension system at each end of the car. |

I'm not all that disappointed about the Buells not being at Daytona. They're also lending support to a lot of grass roots racers and you've gotta applaud them for that. happens. |

Barnes came in 8th after a horrendous pitstop, and the announcer for Speed admitted their error claiming they were showing him on a Buell in their paperwork. He was on a Yamaha for this one race. |

red XB12R in the Superbike race! I thought I saw a quick glimpse of one - but I was watching at a place with no recording/rewind going on. Cool Henrik |
