I just picked up a 1995 S2 a little while ago, and I'm thinking about making some modifications over the winter. As far as I know everything on the bike is stock, so I'm thinking of adding a freer flowing exhaust and re-jetting the carburetor. Any suggestions on what carb settings to use? If I leave the exhaust stock, I'm assuming the bike is still a little lean from the factory, so should I still rejet? |

First redo pilot jet as it is way lean from factory. If it has not been done there is a lead plug on the bottom of carb that needs to be carefully cut out giving access to jet and you can actually adjust idle mixture now. |

Any suggestions on what size to change the pilot jet to? How many turns should the mixture screw be? |

I have a 45 pilot in my 95 S2, it works great! I think the main is a 190. I should have written it down... |

from the factory s2 and s2ts came with a # 40 slow and a #185 main jet, if the bike is stock and want a little more pick up recommend switching to the #45 slow and and leaving the 185 main,, if you are doing more mods then come up to the 190 main ,, remember this all depends on mods,,and your bike,, always better to be a little rich than lean,, and all that from a poor skinny guy ,,, ps with my mods i run a 45/ 190 set up and am getting about 56 mpg,, was getting about 48 mpg with the 45/185 that was in it when i got it, hope it helps,, aaron |

Thanks for the help! I looked through the knowledge vault a bit, but had trouble finding exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! |
