hey all, after pulling the primary off my 96 Buell cyclone i noticed a broken spring inside the casing. I'm thinking it's part 34491-91 the shifter spring. I've seen that you can get the standard sporty variety or the forked version.

Does anyone know the correct type?

Thanks guys

Can't say for sure, my Baker Easy Shift kit came with a new (lighter) spring. But while you're in there in the primary, check a couple things:

*Check to make sure you have the upgraded primary shoe

*Replace that dastardly spring clip (#8 on your IPC and the root of all evil) and check the shift detent plate (#18) is the new upgraded (steel, not aluminum) part. Or better yet, order the Easy Shift drum kit and be done with that nonsense for once and for all. You'll thank me later.

Oops...my bad. The spring I was thinking of is #28.
