Hello, I'm getting too much mud and crud into my bike - Right now it looks as if I've been off-roading.

I'm thinking of installing a slightly modified X1 chin fairing on my 99 S3T ( slightly modded like an XB). I guess a XB fairing will not fit?

The noticeable 4 bolt points are very far back and look pretty fragile. Are extra-long bolts and an additional bracket required to do this or is it straight bolt-on?

Thanks

You will need longer bolts and spacers. The spacers are NLA, but someone is (or was) selling one on ebay not too long ago. There is also a bracket by the shock area that shouldnt be to hard to fabricate.

The XB one will not fit, as it is designed to attach to a stock XB muffler. The aftermarket mounts could possibly be used if you want to modify them as the tuber engine case and the XB engine case are pretty different.

Nothing fragile about it. The bolts on the right should be replaced with Allen bolts from the hardware store.

I am almost positive you could order the shifter side bolt that is needed. If you need I can pop mine off and take a measurement of the spacer and left side shifter hardware. My spacer needs measured and remade soon.
