Hi there just a question about ‘Brake drive pins’ part numbers are variously H0500.9A, H0500.9B and H0500.3B to suit Buell S3/2/1 are these the same dimensions as the drive pins used on RR and RS 1200s from ‘89? Thanks |

Ah! The pin which connects the front brake rotor to the carrier! When looking at the S2 and RS1200 front rotors, they may be the same rotor. The old style S3 front brake rotor uses pins which look similar, but are much larger in diameter. I just pulled the pins from my S3 and 1989 RS1200. These are not the same parts; For S3/M2; H0500.9A = H0500.9B & 45164-96YA & 45164-96Y For S2; H0500.3B = 45164-94YA & 45164-94Y https://houseofbuell.co.za/part_catalogpages.php?c at=26&pag=313 https://buellsterparts.com/product.sc?productId=18 99 https://jwboon.com/index2.php?content=https%3A//jw boon.com/dbhtml/catalog/Bool_AND/Section_frame/Fit s_Buell/Page_3 The 1992 RS/RSS1200 parts manual, Page 12, indicates part 25a. There is no part number for 25a. Buell boys messed up there. (Message edited by 89rs1200 on August 27, 2021) |

Thank you for that. It looks like I'll have to get some machined up as I'm pretty sure the RR1200 brakes will be the same as the RS1200 from the same year. I must say I was expecting these to be a generic part from somewhere, but Performance Machine don't seem to have any Barn Built Buell stuff at all hiding in the cupboards |
