I have a '99 S3, I'm looking for some suggestions on which isolators to go with. Would like to go with something other than the stock set up without having to modify anything. I attempted to get a set from Ebay, but they never came in and heard nothing from the seller so got my money back and am on the hunt again. TIA

There are no other options, except the latest design. Someone once made all aluminum replacements, but then the engine would be solidly mounted to the frame;

Original design, but cannot recommend these, as they, like the original, will likely fail on a Buell;

At one point in time I asked if anyone had their old worn out newer style isolators so I could use the steel plates from them and then make a mold from my brand new ones that I could start rebuilding them through pourable rubber or polyurethane. One person chimed in but never sent them. I’ve been working on other stuff so that got pushed to the back burner. There are a few machinist/production people on this forum I’m surprised no one has picked up this venture.

Go with the updated isolators, I believe 00 and up .
There is also a company making a hybrid iso that is aluminum in the center as mentioned before, but has a rubber outer ring to dampen it.
I think you can get the updated one from St Paul HD .
I believe you can use the Blast front iso to replace the original as well . Also available at St Paul.
I’m sure someone will correct me on that one.
I’ll be interested in what you do , as I just bought a 99 S3 with a bad motor to save it .
But I can see the difference in the rear isolators as compared to my 01M2 .

One of the other random aftermarket companies had isolators for sale, but I believe they were just a copy of the original style, so you're better off just buying the Buell replacements.

Thanks all for the insight. These are what I tried to order from a seller on Ebay but, they never came in and I didn't get any info from the seller when I inquired multiple times about not receiving the isolators. Ebay ended up refunding my money within a day. I won't mention the seller yet because I have bought other parts without a problem. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anyone else who sells the same ones, so if anyone knows someone please chime in. Otherwise seems like I'll have to go with the ones from SPHD. I'm sure they will be better than the originals, one split in half and the other broke into 3 pieces when I took them out

I'm very curious to know how aluminum isolators would ride. I assume from a racing perspective they'd stiffen things up nicely, but I'm not sure about those vibrations.

Evelle, What's the black ring around those isolators? I see in the ebay listing 1 picture has them and 2 pictures don't. I assume it's hard plastic since there are screws countersunk into them. I assume they're there just to keep the aluminum and steel from each other, but I'd think if they're worried about the aluminum wearing, the plastic will wear easier then you probably won't be able to find replacement plastic rings anyway.

I noticed something weird the other day. I had started my bike and looked down. The frame(and everything else) was shaking like crazy, but my engine was sitting perfectly still. That's the opposite of what should be happening haha. This thing would be much more comfortable if the frame sat still and let the engine shake inside of it while I was sitting at redlights and in traffic.

"I noticed something weird the other day. The frame(and everything else) was shaking like crazy, but my engine was sitting perfectly still."

Guessing it's due to the physics of mass. When subjected to equal forces, a heavier mass will move less than a lighter one.
So, I presume the engine mass is greater than the frame/tank/forks mass. (Don't think the wheels/tires/rotors/calipers count as they are isolated from the engine-frame unit.) Forces from the engine imbalance at idle create more movement in the lighter frame+components than to the engine. This, of course, is my non-engineer, non-physicist opinion....
