Is this the stock S2 seat pan for 95' S2?
I found a picture of this. Doesn't look like mine

The top photo is an earlier S2 fiberglass pan that has a modified “tang slot”. The one in the bottom photo iis the later nylon/plastic with the additional retention clip in the center of the pan. |

Any preference to which one to use on a rebuild? |

If the seat fits properly (no excessive gap at the tank cover or at the tail and sides) I’d use it. If the retention tang has excessive play in the slot, a frequently used solution is to pop rivet a thin metal plate over the slot and then cut a new, more precise slot in the plate. |

Thanks for the info Screamer. Of the 7 S2s I've had, none of them had the later style pan lol. |
