Has anyone on here tried to run one of the kinetic structures front motor mounts on a tube frame yet? Just thought I might but figured I check and see if anyone else has tried it yet before I order one and find out it doesn’t fit. I’ll post a link to there internet sight they make a stainless steel aircraft style motor mount for touring models. https://www.kineticstructures.com/product-page/har ley-engine-motor-mount |

It's interesting at least. The price isn't insane for what it is, so it's worth a try. I wonder how much the replacement mesh costs. Nice to know that random parts like isolators shouldn't be a problem for the foreseeable future. |

How, exactly does it not fit? Bolts, shape? |

It is pretty tall on the top side until it gets the pressure from the engine on it to compress it and with the Buell it might not line up or have enough room to get the bolt installed all the way before you contact the back side of the neck. I think I'm going to order one tonight and use it on my s1 it will probably be a few months before I’m back in service but I’ll let you guys know how it works out after I have a chance to ride it around or whether there is any firmest issues. If it doesn’t fit on the Buell I’ll throw it in the FLHX. |
