so I was changing my worm gear on my x1 and I noticed my timing plate melted the epoxy out of it, it still works fine, is there something I could replace the epoxy with? |

Could I use part number 32443-04 in the place of my old timing sensor in my x1? |

It’s on its way out if it’s oozing the hermetic sealant. It’s a matter of time before it begins to hard start. Just change it out, it’s a $40 part from drag specialties. The pins come out of the deutsch connector under the starter. Check the timing after you replace it. They are normally close, but often need a tweak. I use the timing light and clear plug, I never could get the fuel pump method to work on my S3. |

Oh and that pn is for an XB timing module. Just get the sportster one, it’s way cheaper and you know it will work. |
