2 questions. - I'm fitting a later model KT components exhaust to my S1W ( 2 parts connected with spring not all 1 unit. I'm unsure as to how many places it's supposed to attach to the bike, I've had issues with headers breaking before so want to avoid that happening again. 2 x brackets on the "muffler" part, obviously where the headers attach to the cylinders but is it supposed to also attach where the collector joins to the "muffler" section? Also wanting to fit an X1 swingarm, I have the swingarm and I beleive all the hardware to complete this job, anybody have a comprehensive set of instructions to follow to do this? Thanks for your help |

The instructions to retrofit the swingarm are in one of the B2W magazines. I don’t remember which issue. It pretty much bolts up, there’s a tab you need to grind off I think. B2W magazines: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/f83b4dmidya5x7c/AAAXrcA F7C59RCmH1jHT46xya?dl=0 |

I have the 1pc KT on my s1. Loud pipe. Doesnt bother me at all but leaving at 5am.... Drummer made a baffle for it. He did an amazing job and was not expensive at all. Those exhausts are built like tanks. |

Does your KT have a mount by the collector or just the 2 on the cherry bomb? |

Just the two slip-on clamps. Nothing welded on. |

Did your swingarm come with the mounting block? If not you can still use the original one, that's the part that will need a little bit of grinding like mentioned above. If you also picked up the new mounting block, you won't have to do any grinding. Looks here for pictures of the two different versions of mounting block to see what needs done. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/476 23/823721.html?1520341139 It can be a bit of a struggle to get a wrench on all of the bolts but you'll eventually figure them out. |
