want to replace factory air cleaner with something simple and smaller which i have one in mind (Screaming Eagle)but when i take the original off i see a wire with something that looks like an ignition on it ... what the hell do i do with that ? dumb question maybe but my first buell and seems to have a few extras on it from factory that throw me off |

If it is on the X-1 in your profile picture, that will be the Intake Air Temp sensor for the FI system. You may want to drill a hole in the back of the new air cleaner and plug it in there. Others have mounted it under the tank, near the throttle body. Hope this helps, Dave |

thank you for the info Akbuell i was thinking about hiding it out under the tank if i don't have an option on the new air cleaner |

Mine is zip tied out front under right side of tank. Seems to work well. Gets plenty of airflow |
