Hello all. I find myself in need of a rear light assembly for an RS1200. I "think" it is the same as an S2 and perhaps the same even as an S3? But I don't know. Does anyone know this, and even better, have a part number please? Thanks. |

I've got the RS1200 parts manuals and I **think** you are right . . . Let's see if we can summon Brankin in here . . . he'll know. |

I have an NOS one for sale if you are interested. $75 plus shipping. RR1000, RR1200, RS1200, RSS1200, S2, and S3 all use the same CEV taillight, which was also used on a mid 70's Moto Guzzi. (Message edited by phelan on June 09, 2018) |

RR1000, RR1200, RS1200, RSS1200, S2, and S3 all use the same CEV taillight... ^ Accurate information. It was also used on some Moto Guzzis, but I don't know which years/which models. Amazing that this particular taillight was used from 1985 or so all the way until 2002. There is one important detail that is different on the Buell taillights (all years) from the Moto Guzzi taillight. On the Buell taillight lens, an extraneous piece of reflector is removed. Early years, in house, with a band saw. Later years, farmed out. Any proper Moto Guzzi taillight lens can be made into a Buell taillight lens simply and easily. S3 tail light from Twin Motorcycles Since it was a modified part, it got the designation 'QQ' at the end of the part number. The '.2' identifies that it was first used on/goes back to the RR1000. |

Moto Guzzi SP3. I saw one a couple of weeks ago and recognised the light.

Thank you so much. That is all terrific information. I may well look at the Guzzi part first, we need the reflector fitted now to pass the annual vehicle inspection. Great to have so many options! |
