I talked to him he said it hasn't been registered for a long time because it's a race bike and he made all these weird claims about drag racing it so I'm going to pass |

Good move. Never know with the s-titles. The yeller s1 or hopped up x1 look sweet but kinda pricey. |

The X1 seems to have a lot of money invested and I would pay for Grand for it but at the same time I would like an S1 so we'll see I'm in Texas I got to go to Oklahoma first before I go to Illinois to look at the S1 |

Found this one owner bike looks pretty nice says there's no issues with it he's done normal maintenance has a full race Kit bought when he bought the bike new but I'm wondering if the force intake would have come with a factory Race Kit https://yakima.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2000-buell-x1- lightning/6592926742.html |

Also I'd love to hear a little more about the factory X1 flywheel changes and why they did it |

I think the force was an aftermarket item. That looks like a good deal. Sharp lookin bike. I took the s1 about 100 miles today. Parked it then hopped on the x1. I gotta say, as much as i like the s1, i think the x1 is still my fav. Feels more refined. More planted in my opinion Still pondering a 1250 kit for it |

Take a look at the picture of my X1W, that's the race kit with the header done in blue by Jet Hot. |

Wow already broke a front blinker right at the mount. So brittle |

These aren't quite correct but work well enough. The front S1 signals have a stand off block if I remember correctly. You might have to use your old signal connectors: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WJCL56/ref=o h_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 XB turn signals work well, too. |

Any signals of your choice will work. Purpony probably has stock signals for sale btw. Remember if you go with led you will need a load resistor or led flash relay. |

Thanks for the help guys. I've been driving constantly since I left santa Rosa on Wednesday morning so excuse the lack of responses. Here are some more pics from in the trailer. Also hauled a m2 out here to Milwaukee. I remember being a kid and wanting the Kool little trick blinkers. Now I'm happy with the big ugly ones I also got all the stock air cleaner and rear fender parts with it. AND a factory s1 2.5" Header that needs the mount fixed.

Great looking bikes! I really like the S1, especially that silver header heat shield. Mine is black and a big eye sore. Is the M2 for you as well, or did you haul it back for someone else? |

Thanks. The m2 is just a hauling job. Though it is a nice one. Has tach kit. It's going to a Harley shop for work. Yeah the PO said those heat shields are hard to find. He wanted $100 just for the shield on the 2.5" header so I just took the header. One on eBay for $55 shipped lol Here i am |

Yeah that's nuts. I'd much rather put that $100 towards a ceramic coating for my header so I didn't need the heat shield in the first place. The silver ones are extremely rare though, I've only seen a few in pictures online over the years. Where are you? Was there supposed to be a picture attached there? |

Yeah just a McDonald's map showing where I am (Racine, wi) Yeah he got me for an extra $100 total for all the original fender and intake stuff. But I'd rather have em even if they're not worth anything. He did basically throw in that 2.5 header. I know the mount will require some help. |

O dont think people search hard for the heat shields. Essentially all you need to do is find a 3” pipe with the same bend angle cut it in half and weld some hose clamp tabs on. Any good muffler shop could do it with stainless. |

Yes I know... I didn't drink the Kool aid. Also has oil bag leak. PO told me about it that day I showed up even though I already talked to the guy he just bought it from and knew about it. Ugh whatever it's my problem now |

pretty sure the s1 and x1 signals are the same. if you can confirm and you still need a set... I have the set off my x1 ill never use. not broke or anything... I just went with the "Kool little trick blinkers" nice bike. and so begins the labors of love..... |

That's an easy fix. Even if Court doesn't have a whole new one, I just replaced my rubber grommets this winter and appear to be sealed up tighter than a dolphin's butt. I can look and see if I can find the information on the grommets you need. You can't order the grommets alone from HD, that came as one part with the oil tank. They're a pretty common part for lawn mower tanks though and only cost a few dollars for the set. The rubber mounting wellnuts can also be had at Lowes for about $1 a piece if you need those too. I believe they're 5/16th. |

"pretty sure the s1 and x1 signals are the same" They are not the same, actually, but they'll work. I like the flexible signals on the 99+ bikes. |

Yeah the X1 and Blast got XB signals. All other tubers have the rectangular signals. |

It might be more appropriate to say that the Blast! and XB models got the X1 signals (though the stalk length differs). |
