I have owned an S1W for 4 years, I'm never selling but am looking at potentially buying something better for touring also, what is the best model in other buellers opinions? Ideally a tuber, thanks |

S3 or S3T. A later model M2 would be my 2nd choice. |

I wish they would've kept the S2 bodywork for the S3. Those things are pretty enough that I'd have to really debate giving up the benefits of the S3 just for the feels you'd get every time you walked past the S2 in the garage. The S3T is definitely the best tuber as far as touring goes though. |

The one thing the S2 has over the S3 is when your belt breaks it is an easy replacement. The S3, same belt but major headache to replace on the road. And if you tour, then chances are good your belt will break someday. |

S2 with S3T bags (a conversion rack was and might still be available) Kick stand fix... That’s the BEST touring tuber!!! I never needed any kick stand fix (other than what the factory did), but I agree completely with the rest. 117,000 miles should prove something... |

I wish I had all the stock parts for my S3T. I am missing the air cleaner assembly and the mounting bracket along with the lowers and mounts (I have some pretty beat up ones that are green). Those are some pretty nice looking Buells... |

Just put the lowers on my 00 S3. Next up is an attempt at an LED headlamp and to put running light modules on the front turn signals with LED bulbs. I may put it on the market when I get done. It has 6k miles and is like new with all the upgrades including XB rocker covers. May get another Ural for touring, can put both of my boys on it and the trunk is great lol. |

Change the headlamp housing over to a 4x6" Hella E-code H4 conversion housing, and put either an HID hi/lo bulb in it (55w/4300k color), or find an H4 LED hi/lo to put in it. Much better beam pattern than the stock housing, glass and metal, not plastic, and the HID or LED will put out multiple times the lumens of the factory setup. |

My S3T is by far my favorite bike out of the 5 that I own. If I were to only keep one it would be the S3T. I also have an S1, XB12R, 1190SX and a Kawasaki Z125. |

I really prefer the feel of the Thunderstorm Cyclone engine, the torque curve is better suited to touring than the Thunderbolt/Lightning engines. My M2 with a Corbin seat feels just right ergonomically either solo or 2-up. I just wish it had hard luggage. Advantage S3T. |

Thanks, I have this LED headlight from eBay. I’m trying to build an adapter plate like this one off of Facebook Tube Frame owners group.

I put a givi fairing on my m2 and did 600 miles a day for couple of days. On thing to consider if mainly doing touring on a tuber is changing the rear or front sprocket to reduce the rpms. Running at 80 and 4K rpms just kinda hard. I would give up some low end for easy cruzing. |

I may put my 55 tooth rear sprocket up for sale soon if anyone is interested. |
