Yes I swapped them and it didn't help or hurt anything. I should have mentioned that but as you can see I shared a lot trying to help the next guy. |

Hootowl, I thought about what you said about factoring in the resistance of my multimeter probes. So I zero'd them in and it came out 1.5 ohm. Next I tested the stator I removed and it read 1.7 ohm. Find the difference and you get .2 ohm, right where's it's supposed to be. Oh well, live and learn. I should have known better considering I'm big in to vapeing and build and test coils all the time usually all below 1 ohm. New stator was not necessary, I'm going to save it maybe It will get used one day. |

4. Connector from module–multimeter red wire to red wire socket and multimeter black wire to black/white pin. Should register 12 VDC. This assumes the ground at the black/white pin is good. Before you spring for a new module, check resistance between that pin and the negative terminal of the battery. Bad grounds are the devil. There are different ignition modules for different year M2s. Make sure you get the correct one. Lots of aftermarket options if you cannot find a stock unit. |

I've now replaced the Ignition Module and still getting no spark. Really getting frustrated and discouraged now. Any suggestions? |

After a long sleepless night of troubleshooting and repeated testing. I determined that it was my side stand safety switch. I got rid of it and just connected the two black wires that went to it. Got a spark and just got done putting it all back together. Now I have a pretty loud knock. Hear is a video of it. https://youtu.be/9UZwGJCAV-I |

This evening I started the bike up. Knock was gone and so was I. My test drive turned into a 4 hour run. So grateful to be back on 2 wheels! |

I cannot believe no one suggested that the sidestand switch might be the problem. I guess we all figured that they've all been bypassed by now and forgot about it. |

There could have been more wrong. I meantioned earlier about a brand new Duracell battery taking a crap on me and having to replace it. It went bad at the same time it broke down and left me stranded. I had also recently installed some crea u7 led fog lights and had a hot wire come loose because it was to taught. I also made the mistake of reconnecting my positive battery lead last after installing the lights and I hit the frame with the wrench like a dummy. Negative last. |
